The Mobile Interface is Behaving Strange, What to Do?

If the offline mobile interface is exhibiting strange behavior, it is best to remove and reinstall:

iOS:

  1. Select the “Settings” app from your devices home screen
  2. Select “Safari”
  3. Select “Clear History”, “Clear Cookies” and “Clear Cache”
  4. Select “Databases”
  5. Click “Edit” in the upper right corner
  6. Next to each entry click the “-” then select “Delete” (the entry should disappear)
  7. Click “Done” in the upper right hand corner
  8. Click the home button (the one physical button on the device)
  9. Hold your finger down on the offline mobile interface app until all of the apps jiggle
  10. Select the “x” to delete the offline mobile app

Reinstall the app:

  1. In Safari go to the offline mobile address (found within Heap or Torch under help->mobile)
  2. Tap the + (or boxed arrow in iOS 5) at the bottom of the screen
  3. Select Add to Home Screen
  4. Tap Add to confirm
  5. A new icon appears on your home screen

Android:

  1. Open the Browser application
  2. Select the devices < Menu > key
  3. Select “More”
  4. Select “Settings”
  5. Select “Clear history”, “Clear cache” and “Clear all cookie data”
  6. From “Advanced settings” select “Website settings”
  7. Select your offline mobile address
  8. Select “Clear stored data”
  9. Click the Home button
  10. Click and drag your offline mobile app to the trash

Reinstall the app:

  1. In the browser, go to the offline mobile address (found within Heap or Torch under help->mobile)
  2. Press your device’s < Menu > button
  3. Select More
  4. Select Bookmark page and select OK
  5. Press your device’s < Home > button, then press the < Menu > button
  6. Select Add > Shortcut > Bookmark
  7. Find ‘Heap’ or ‘Torch’ and select it
  8. A new icon appears on your home screen

BlackBerry:

  1. Highlight the BlackBerry browser icon and click the trackwheel
  2. Click the trackwheel again to display the “Browser Options” menu
  3. Scroll down to “Options” and click the trackwheel to open the browser options screen
  4. Scroll down to “General Properties” and click the trackwheel to open the “General Properties” screen
  5. Click the trackwheel to open the “Cache menu”
  6. Scroll down to “Clear Content Caches” and click the trackwheel to clear the cache and return to the “General Properties” screen
  7. Repeat 4–6 for cookies and history
  8. Go to the home screen
  9. Go to “options”, “advanced options”, “applications”
  10. Highlight the offline mobile app and select delete

Reinstall the app:

  1. In the browser, go to the offline mobile address (found within Heap or Torch under help->mobile)
  2. Press the circular drop-down menu
  3. Select “Add to Home Screen”
  4. Press “Add”
  5. A new icon appears on your home screen

Palm:

  1. Open the “Web”
  2. Tap the “application” menu
  3. Tap “Preferences”
  4. Tap “Clear History”, “Clear Cookies” and “Clear Cache”
  5. Go to your home screen
  6. Hold down the option key and select your offline mobile app
  7. Select “Delete”

Reinstall the app:

  1. In the browser, go to the offline mobile address (found within Heap or Torch under help->mobile)
  2. Tap the “Web” at the top of the screen
  3. Select Page
  4. Tap Add to Launcher
  5. A new icon appears on your home screen
